33. 

छिमा बड़न को चाहिये, छोटन को उतपात ।
कह रहीम हरी का घट्यौ, जो भृगु मारी लात ।।

अर्थ :  क्षमा बड़े लोगों को शोभा देती है और बदमाशी छोटों को शोभा देती है। यानि छोटे अगर गलत व्यवहार करें तो कोई बात नहीं, इसके लिए बड़ों को छोटों को माफ कर देना चाहिए। अगर छोटे बच्चे शरारत करते हैं तो उन्हें मजा भी कम आता है। उदाहरण के लिए, यदि किसी छोटे से कीड़े को भी लात मार दी जाए तो उससे कोई हानि नहीं होती।

chimā baḍa़na ko cāhiye, choṭana ko utapāta.
kaha rahīma harī kā ghaṭyau, jo bhṛgu mārī lāta.
Meaning :  Forgiveness suits the older people and bullying suits the younger ones. That means, there is no problem if the younger ones behave wrongly, the elders should forgive the younger ones for this. If small children do mischief then they also enjoy less. For example, if even a small insect is kicked, it does not cause any harm.

 राम न जाते हरिन संग, सिय न रावण साथ।
जो रहीम भावी कतहूँ होत आपने हाथ ।।

अर्थ :  रहीम कहते हैं कि यदि वचन देना हमारे हाथ में होता, जो होना था उस पर हमारा वश होता तो ऐसा क्यों होता कि राम हिरण के पीछे गए और सीता का हरण हो गया। क्योंकि यह तो होना ही था - इस पर हमारा कोई नियंत्रण नहीं था और न ही होगा, इसलिए राम सोने के मृग के पीछे चले गए और रावण सीता को लंका ले गया।

Ram n jaate harin Sang, 
Siya na Ravan sath.
Jo Rahim bhavi katahun,  
hot aapane hath.

Meaning :  Rahim says that if it was in our hands to give the promise, if we had control over what was to happen, then why would it have happened that Ram went after the deer and Sita was abducted. Because it was bound to happen – we had no control over it nor would we, so Ram went after the golden deer and Ravana took Sita to Lanka.
