निज कर क्रिया रहीम कहि सीधी भावी के हाथ
पांसे अपने हाथ में दांव न अपने हाथ।।

अर्थ :  रहीम कहते हैं कि कर्म करना ही व्यक्ति के हाथ में होता है, भाग्य से ही सफलता मिलती है, जैसे चौपड़ खेलते समय पासे तो हाथ में होते हैं, लेकिन दांव से क्या मिलेगा, यह किसी के हाथ में नहीं होता।

Sidhi bhabhi ke hath.
pase Apne hath mein 
danv na Apne hath.

Meaning :  Rahim says that doing the work is in the hands of the person, success is achieved only by luck, like while playing Chaupar, the dice are in the hand, but what one will get from the bet is not in anyone’s hands.
